James Britt is a resident of Kenwood. He has lived in Chicago for over 10 years, and has spent his entire professional career as an educator and arts administrator at various institutions, most notably Northwestern University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and currently at the University of Chicago. Britt received his undergraduate degree in Sociology and African American and African Studies from the University of Virginia, and a masters degree in Counseling Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.
