KINDRED VISIONS unites local artists of color who address similar conceptual, aesthetic, and cultural issues in their artistic production.

Spanning a wide range of artistic practices, including photography, sculpture, painting, documentary filmmaking, performance, and installation, the exhibition explores webs of artistic kinship beyond race and ethnicity.

Viewers are invited to consider connections between participating artists based on shared artistic media and techniques, shared subjects (whether social, cultural or historical in origin), and shared attitudes towards these subjects (whether critical, comedic or activist in nature).
